Ravensthorpe wedding Wollongong – Andrea & Angus

I have been blessed with back to back weddings at my favourite venue in Wollongong – the gorgeous Ravensthorpe!  I’m sure you won’t mind seeing a few blogs, and it’s great to see that every wedding is different – even when the venue doesn’t change ūüôā

Angus and Andrea are a beautiful couple who have studied medicine together for many years, and now finally have time to focus on each other and tie the knot!  Their Christmas wedding gave them time to finish exams before frantically organising the final details for the best day of their lives (so far!)

Andrea’s dad has passed away, so her two lovely brothers walked her down the aisle.  As she walked towards the love of her life, you can see her pause for a moment to blow a kiss at her dad – looking down from above.  She also saved a seat for him and put a lovely framed photo of dad on the seat.

I really love the flowers, and specially the use of ivy in Andrea’s lovely floral head piece.  Having a summer wedding is sometimes a little hazardous for the poor boys in their suits, so Andrea decided to let all the groomsmen just wear a vest, which was much appreciated! Andrea bought a big basket full of fabric parasols to help keep all the ladies cool, but I think the boys got a little jealous and decided to have a play ūüôā  The quote of the year was brilliant, written by “alcohol”, it was “Trust me, you can dance!”   And alcohol seems to know what it is talking about, because it wasn’t long before the wedding shoes were off and the dancing started!

Special mention goes to the best little flower girl and page boy ever!!  Enjoy, Anna B

Ravensthorpe wedding photographer Wollongong – Katlyn & Josh

Katlyn is from Canada, so when organising her¬†wedding, she and Josh decided¬†both Canada and Australia were great places to get married! The first wedding was in Canada, and the second one at the beautiful Ravensthorpe in Albion Park on the south coast of NSW. It was the best¬†venue for the day, as even with changeable weather there is always somewhere amazing to take photos. ¬†Special thanks goes to the resident Jacarada tree ūüôā ¬†Katlyn loved Ravensthorpe so much she now works there co-ordinating for other brides on¬†their special day.

Ravensthorpe South Coast Wedding – Amy & Matt

Amy & Matt’s wedding was all about family and party, with¬†a cocktail style wedding utilising the outside area and conservatory for dancing & mingling – highly recommended for Ravensthorpe¬†weddings! The theme included beautiful soft florals,¬†with the VW beetle¬†brought to Ravensthorpe¬†especially by Amy’s¬†Dad¬†– complete with vintage¬†luggage on top! Dad was also more nervous than Amy to walk down the aisle but ended up the life of the party ¬†– the dancing Queen (or King)! ¬†Amy was bubbly & cheerful¬†all day and the most stunning pregnant bride. ¬†I also had the best fun loving wedding party!

Stop Motion Wedding Video – Shantel & Travis @ Ravensthorpe

We have been so busy with a cracker wedding season that I neglected to post this wonderful Stop Motion video of Shantel and Travis. ¬†It is one of my favourites as my bride and groom really got into the fun of it. Sometimes a groom just goes along with the flow and says ‘ok’ to whatever whacky plan I come up with – but in this case Travis was all over it with great ideas of his own and we had the best time! ¬†I particularly enjoyed helping throw tennis balls at the poor boys! Once again I was lucky enough to be shooting at the lovely Ravensthorpe. ¬†I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it! ¬†You can see more Stop Motion weddings here

Ravensthorpe Wedding Photographer Wollongong – Elettra & Liam

What can I say about this amazing couple except WOW! ¬†The Ceremony was held at the same church that Elettra’s mum and dad were married – ¬†so romantic. ¬†I don’t think Liam was quite ready for most of the ceremony to be in Italian, however he faked comprehension like a pro! Talking of Liam, he was really involved in the planning for the wedding, and I just love it when I have a groom that has an opinion!

We had a photo shoot at Killalea State Park, and once again I was lucky enough to have the Reception at Ravensthorpe and get to work with the lovely Deb and Jim, who always look after us so beautifully.
